Did you survive last Monday Blues? Well, if you’re reading this, it is quite possible you did! And it’s now time to start planning for the weekend 😉 .
Here we go: get a flight on friday morning from Nairobi to Malindi, on arrival our private van will pick you up for a short ride to Watamu, to our Lonno Lodge, where a refreshing drink will be waiting for you. Take the time you need to look around for the swimming pool, the mature garden, the restaurant and the bar, and then head to your room inside the old observation tower.
Now open the window and .. voilà, the Indian Ocean is right there, in front of you (can you feel the breeze?).
Well, this is just the beginning, since you’ll have almost two full days to hang around the Lonno Lodge or to visit and enjoy Watamu, if you’re on the adventurous side of your weekend.
In Watamu you can learn kitesurfing at Tribe Watersports or discover the Old Gede ruins (several similarities here with our buildings!), you can adopt a Turtle saved by the Local Ocean Trust or learn how the local Snake Farm is saving human lives through their work with snakes. Enjoy a snack or a lunch at the Crab Shack when visiting Mida Creek or learn how to build your home with recycled bottles 🙂 with EcoWorld Watamu, contributing in the mean time to clean beaches and oceans.
Or, in the end, you can just enjoy the relaxed atmosphere, a nightly storm and wonderful sunsets, and lay around the swimming pool simply relaxing and resting, knowing that wonderful dinners will be waiting for you on these days on the coast.
And now the nice part: the whole cost for this paradisiac weekend starts from $374 per person sharing (depending on choosen room), a little bit more than 38,000 KSh return flights NBO-MYD and return private transfers included!
